Welcome to Cobham River Lodge

Here, your dream of landing a legendary monster fish becomes an everyday reality. Tucked away in the remote wilderness of Manitoba, our destination offers a serene yet thrilling getaway for anglers worldwide. We provide more than just a place to cast a line; we offer a chance to build lifelong traditions.

The EXPERIENCE

Unmatched Exclusivity on 1,000,000+ Acres

True wilderness means leaving the crowds behind.

Unlike other destinations that crowd their waters, we strictly limit our expansive 1,000,000+ acre private fishery to just five or six boats per day. This ensures you have exclusive access to pristine, unpressured ecosystems.

A 35 Year Legacy of Trophy Conservation

Our waters are crystal clear, exceptionally cold, and teeming with a thriving food chain. Thanks to our 35 years of dedicated catch and release practices, our fishery sustains some of the oldest and largest apex predators in North America. Here, guests routinely pull in 30 plus pound northern pike.

A Seasonal Guide to Chasing Monster Pike

Understanding the seasonal rhythms of the water is the secret to a successful trip. Our seasoned guides know exactly where these fish hide as the Canadian seasons shift.

EARLY SUMMER SIGHT FISHING

As the winter ice finally melts, the shallow bays begin to warm. Large female pike migrate into these one to two foot shallows to feed and recover after spawning. This creates an incredibly visual and adrenaline-pumping sight-fishing experience for early-season guests.

Lodge Fishing Experience FAQs

Will I have to compete with other anglers for fishing spots?

Absolutely not. You will experience complete tranquility, as our outpost is strictly limited to one group per week on the entire lake.

What are the daily catch numbers like?

Our carefully managed river system is a true numbers factory. Anglers frequently report catching over 100 fish per day, making it easy to catch a shore lunch.

Do I need an expert skill level to catch a trophy fish?

Not at all. Because the waters are unpressured, the fish are aggressive and eager to bite, making it an incredible destination for both your very first fly-in trip or your fiftieth.
