Manitoba Canada trophy fishing reviews | Cobham River Lodge2020-04-12T17:06:37-05:00

I have been coming here for nearly 20 years now. Best fishing I’ve ever experienced! The staff and the food are outstanding! You will not leave here hungry! The shore lunch is the highlight. Lots of big northern and easily over 100 walleye a day!

Been here a few times and it is one of the best places on earth! Awesome location, lodge, staff, and the fishing is unreal. Love the place and the memories made here!!

The weather was great for the whole week and so was the fishing. Boating 100 plus fish per day is normal and the best spots are right by the lodge. The staff was friendly as always and the food was excellent. We will definitely go back next year.

Just got back from a 5 day trip at the Lodge. Haven’t done a Canadian Fishing trip in 13 years (kid stuff got in the way) but have been to the Lodge and Hidden Lake outpost with Dick 16 times since the 1980’s. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Quantity and Size of fish is unmatched and at the Lodge you are treated like family. Food and service is awesome. I wouldn’t recommend any other place.

We just returned from another week at Hidden Lake Outpost camp.
It was another great week of of fishing, catching literally hundreds of fish, the largest pike was 44” with a number between 34-40” caught as well.
I can’t say enough good things about the Camp & the Hebel’s management of the property.

I have been fishing at Cobham river lodge for the last 5 years. It is a remote fly-in camp. There are two rivers (Cobham and Paulson) that meet, and flow north, creating a beautiful flowage. You can fish the rivers or you can fish the flowage. You can always find places out of the wind to fish.

We had a fantastic fishing trip! Flew into Winnipeg then drove to Twin Falls, took the Otter to the Lodge. Great location, fish were biting, great service, and accommodations, food was outstanding! — we will be back next year !! This was definitely a bucket list! Thank you

Back to Cobham Lodge again! As always, service, staff, lodge… the best. This time I was able to bring the kids, and boy did they have fun! If you want to SPOIL your kids and ruin them from all other fishing, bring them to Cobham ;-)

I have been coming to the Cobham for 5 years and highly recommend it to all trophy fishing enthusiasts. The setting, accommodations and staff are outstanding. Will be coming back again next year!

My sons and I have been fishing in Northern Manitoba for 11 consecutive years visiting 8 different lodges and outposts. In June, 2017, we will return to COBHAM RIVER LODGE for the 3rd time. The accommodations, the fishing, the food, the hospitality and price make this our number one preference. No bragging, no fancy websites, no fancy brochures, just a great place and a great experience with a lot of personal attention from the owner, Dick Hebel. Call me @ 803-487-4452 for lots of good stories.

Travelled to Manitoba with a large group of friends for an incredible week long fishing get away. The pristine and untouched Cobham River provides a fisherman’s oasis for ripping countless Walleye and Northern Pike.
The staff are all excellent, personable, friendly, and always willing to help in every way they can.
I cannot recommend The Cobham River Lodge enough.

My husband and I went there July 7 and had a great time. It was our fourth time up but it had been a few years since our last. The fishing was still great. Spent a week catching Northern Pike up to 40 inches and some tasty Walleye. Mark and Leann made us feel at home. Food was great and loved the shore lunches. Thanks for the week, Diane.

I have been coming to the Cobham for the past 8 years, with no desire to go anywhere else. Over the past years it’s become like our second family. When telling people about the lodge I tell them they do everything but bait my hook and I think they would do that if I ask. I also say that it’s as close to heaven on earth as you will ever be. The food and surroundings are great. The staff is so helpful and really try to please. If you need something they do their best to help you get it. I feel like Dick is a very dear friend and we think the world of him. If you want a true fun family trip come to the Cobham.

Six long time fishing buddies spent the 3rd week of June at the Cobham River Lodge’s Hidden Lake Outpost Camp.
Awesome cabin, fishing, euchre games and an amazing screened in porch!
The Hebel’s have put together a top quality outpost experience that is probably the best we have experienced over the past 42 years of fishing together.
Definitely a place that’s worth the time and trouble to get there.

How do you make a great vacation. First go to a destination that offers one of your favorite activities, catching lots of big walleyes and northern pike. 2nd is bring some of your best friends. Third is have a great staff that makes a great shore lunch, great meals at the lodge and that really care about the guests. Fourth is give you the tools to enjoy the fishing, like nice boats with 4 stroke motors that purr, custom lake maps, information on how to increase your catch, as well as fish cleaning and packaging. Lastly, they provided us with best weather possible. I can’t wait to get back next year.
