July Fishing Report – July 26, 2019

The northern pike fishing has been steady at all of the typical hot spots this past week, the cut, inner lakes and Elliot straits continue to produce great numbers of pike every day with a good mix of walleye biting at the rocky points. The inner lake offered some great fishing in more comfortable conditions for those afternoons that get a little windy, and having that option is definitely something to take note of.
Our big pike this week tipped the scales just over 116cm (46 inches) with numerous pike released in the 104 – 114cm (41 – 45 inch) range.
Walleye fishing has been a little tougher this week but those who put their time in and worked the points hard have managed to go home with their limit of tasty walleye. The point just in front of the lodge has also remained steady for smaller shore lunch walleye as it has though out the season.

With only seven remaining days of fishing ahead of us this will be my last fishing report for the 2019 season. I’d like to sign off by extending a thank you, on behalf of our entire crew, to every single one of our guests that chose to spend their fishing adventure with us at Cobham River Lodge.
We have enjoyed another incredible season here and that couldn’t happen without our dedicated anglers that choose to come back year after year. For those of you who joined us for the first time this year, we hope to see you return for years and years to come! We strive to meet, and exceed expectations here and we hope that we did just that for all of you. Have a safe and happy off season, we look forward to seeing all of you back next year!
