Winter is winding down, so our season is just around the corner. Fishing Guide

(Note: The guide rate is $ 300 (US) daily, with 1 guide per 2 guests. Guides are NOT available at Hidden Lake Outpost.)

Pre-Purchase Extra Weight (Lodge Guests Only)

Weight limits are 75 lbs for lodge guests departing from Bissett and 55 lbs for lodge guests departing from Winnipeg (door-to-door service). Sometimes, we have extra weight available on airplanes that can be reserved. Please indicate below if you’d like to reserve extra weight/space on your airplane (if available) in addition to your allotted lodge weight limit. The cost for extra weight is $3/lb.

Hidden Lake Guests

All space for luggage and groceries must be booked in advance of your trip at a rate of $3.00 per pound, with the cost evenly divided among your group members. This approach ensures you have the flexibility to bring exactly what you need for the perfect trip. Please note that all preordered beverages (beverages ordered below) will be transported separately to Hidden Lake (on a different flight) and DO NOT count toward your luggage/grocery weight. This section pertains solely to the weight of your gear and groceries.

Please specify the total weight you will require for your flight. It's crucial to understand that any weight not pre-booked may not be available on your departure day. We encourage you to reserve the necessary amount now rather than waiting to add more later and find it unavailable. The weight you book today directly influences the size of the airplane reserved for your flight; a larger aircraft cannot be arranged at the last minute.

Pole Rental

Because baggage fees can be as high as $100 to check a rod case when flying on commercial airlines, guests have expressed interest in rod/reel rentals. Cobham River Lodge has rods/reels for rental. This can save many members in your group airline fees for their rod cases.

Our rental packages include 2 rods, 2 reels, unlimited braided 30-pound test, fluorocarbon leader, and 1 lure box per boat of the Cobham classics.

Refreshment Order

Weight. It's a funny word to start a refreshment order, but it is the deciding factor if you want to preorder your refreshments. Because we are a fly-in fishing lodge, everything comes by air, which is an expensive way to move freight. A case of beer or soda weighs up to 20.22 Lbs., equal to 25% of a lodge guest's allotted weight limit (75lbs - Bissett, 55lbs - Winnipeg) for the seaplane. Since no one wants to choose between fishing gear and beverages, we offer a preorder beverage service. Your order is placed on freight planes and at the camp before arrival.

The cost per case varies based on the item cost and weight.
