Winter is winding down, so our season is just around the corner. Fishing Guide

(Note: The guide rate is $ 300 (US) daily, with 1 guide per 2 guests.)

Pre-Purchase Extra Weight

Weight limits are 75 lbs for guests departing from Bissett and 55 lbs for lodge guests departing from Winnipeg (door-to-door service). Sometimes, we have extra weight available on airplanes that can be reserved. Please indicate below if you’d like to reserve extra weight/space on your airplane (if available) in addition to your allotted lodge weight limit. The cost for extra weight is $3/lb.

Your trip is booked on specific private floatplane flights/dates. However, unforeseen problems arise, such as commercial airline cancellations, car trouble, a hook in your hand, or general medical attention while at Cobham River Lodge. This insurance covers your floatplane flights for these unforeseen circumstances outside of your control.

What’s included:
·      Floatplane flight to or from Cobham River Lodge
·      Expeditor ground transportation service if needed

If you forgo this insurance and need a flight to or from Cobham River Lodge, the lowest charter price is USD 2,800 each way.

Pole Rental

Because baggage fees can be as high as $100 to check a rod case when flying on commercial airlines, guests have expressed interest in rod/reel rentals. Cobham River Lodge has rods/reels for rental. This can save many members in your group airline fees for their rod cases.

Our rental packages include two rods, two reels, unlimited braided 30-pound test, fluorocarbon leader, and one lure box per boat of the Cobham classics.

NOTE: Rod rental is included for guests with the Winnipeg option. Please list the rod options for each member below.

Refreshment Order

Weight. It's a funny word to start a refreshment order, but it is the deciding factor if you want to preorder your refreshments. Because we are a fly-in fishing lodge, everything comes by air, which is an expensive way to move freight. A case of beer or soda weighs up to 20.22 Lbs., equal to 25% of a lodge guest's allotted weight limit (75lbs - Bissett, 55lbs - Winnipeg) for the seaplane. Since no one wants to choose between fishing gear and beverages, we offer a preorder beverage service. Your order is placed on freight planes and at the camp before arrival.

The cost per case varies based on the item cost and weight (The historical average per guest is 6.75 daily beverages (beer/soda/water). Click on the beverage image or name to see more information about the beverage).

NOTE: Please submit only one drink entry per group. Only one drink invoice will be generated per group.

New in 2025, a water filter system and boat water bottles will be provided.
