The 2022 Canada Fishing Season is Fast Approaching

By Published On: April 18th, 2022

The 2022 season is fast approaching and we couldn’t be more excited about it. After a 2-year hiatus due to COVID, we are happy to be returning “home”.  We are sure there will be plenty of clean up as mother nature has had 2 years to take the lodge grounds over, it will be nice to return back to having fishermen on the Cobham River.

We have made some very exciting operational changes to this season that I know will be a huge hit with all of our guests, old and new alike. The most exciting is our new chef Gale.  Gale brings years of cooking experiences and will continue to bring guests the “home cooking” that our guest’s love.  Welcome aboard Gale.

In 2022 we expanded Winnipeg flight options to include transportation and hotel so guests have a carefree trip on the Cobham River.  Our new “Door to Door” service is already a hit with guests.  Also new this season, guests will look forward to the new Alumacraft flat bottom boats with electric start 20HP outboards and depth finders.  This is just the start of our refresh of the fleet.

Now if the pattern of fishing we’ve tracked over the past 40 years holds true to history, we should see an excellent year of fishing on the Cobham River. We are just finishing up last minute touches on our crew for the coming season and May can’t come fast enough! We hope to see you there this year as all things are adding up to be a FANTASTIC year on the Cobham River. If you haven’t booked space for this season yet, don’t wait another minute, space is very hard to find and rightly so!  It’s going to be one of the best years ever!!!
